La FLEMME

La Flemme is the flashy hurricane shaking up the French music scene, sweeping everything in its path with a torrent of garage pop energy and psychedelic textures.
Hailing from Marseille, the band's young members have already put in serious time on French stages, each bringing solid experience from their respective projects: Jules, Stella, Charles and Val have all cut their teeth with Technopolice, Flathead, Avenoir, Tessina, Social Dance and Seppuku.

This unlikely crew decided to pool their talents one presumably well-fuelled night, with the strange ambition of putting together something stage-ready in barely two months. From that odd idea sprang a band of irresistible ease and cool, effortlessly throwing out frenetic compositions with a no-nonsense immediacy — the kind that lodge themselves in even the most selective of musical memories.

At once loose and tight, introspective and exuberant, the quartet draws on the highs and lows of post-adolescent life, revelling in contradiction — right down to a name that barely matches the ferocious energy of their music. In short, La Flemme seems dead set on making Marseille the new capital of French rock. That might sound like a joke, but one listen to their debut album La Fête and you start thinking they just might pull it off.

In barely two years, La Flemme have already forced their breakneck pace and infectious energy onto the French music scene. Their debut album, La Fête, released on 25 April 2025, is an explosion of garage pop that captures their audacity and talent in full. The Marseille quartet have already made their mark: winners of the Inrocks Super Club, featured at the Inrocks Festival 2025, two appearances on the TV show Quotidien, and over 100 concerts across France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada — La Flemme have carved out a place in the sun faster than anyone expected.
