La FLEMME is back! Less than a year after their first EP, the Phocéans (a nickname for people from Marseille) are already returning with a single announcing the upcoming release of their album, and we find them ready to ride the new wave of French rock, with Marseille now set to be its capital.
Titled Demain (Tomorrow), the track won’t disappoint early fans: the fiery quartet channels their booze-fueled anxieties with guitars blazing, once again showcasing their mastery of garage-pop riffs and uptempo melodies that hit just right. It’s fast-paced, a bit punk, a bit psychedelic, and effortlessly cool, like Osees by the Mediterranean. Just two and a half minutes separate the opening notes from the final crash, but that’s all the Marseille band needs to unleash one of their signature tales of existential highs.
With this new single, La FLEMME delivers an exciting teaser that’s perfect for looping, as we eagerly await April 25, 2025, the release date of their debut album, promisingly titled La Fête (The Party).
