Tō Yō Releases its second Album: Yardang (LP / Digital)
Three years after their debut, Tokyo-based psychedelic rock trio Tō Yō return to EXAG’ Records with Yardang (XAG075)—their long-awaited second studio album, available today on vinyl and across all streaming platforms.
Deeply rooted in Tokyo's underground scene—a unique ecosystem where rock bands, trance DJs, and experimental musicians share the same stages—Tō Yō creates music built on repetition, collective momentum, and gradual transformation. Much like the wind-carved desert rock formations from which the album takes its name, Yardang was organically sculpted through studio improvisation and refined across years of live performance.
A Convergence of Sound and Visuals Reflecting the band’s organic process, the album artwork was created by drummer Hibiki Amano. By extracting sound waveforms from the tracks and modeling them in 3D, he transformed time, trial-and-error, and accumulated audio into a solid, crystallized physical form.
European Tour — Autumn 2026 Tō Yō will bring Yardang to the stage on an extensive European tour throughout October and November 2026, with confirmed stops across Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France.
