The big idea releases new single: come close (acoustic) and Unveils "The Other Half": An Acoustic Reimagining of “Half a dozen“ Coming November 6th

Listen to Come Close (Acoustic)

The Big Idea just dropped a new single and its music video for "Come Close (Acoustic)." It slips in like the sun through the blinds on a summer morning. Imagine Nick Cave on vacation—trading the noise for acoustic guitars, Stéphane Jach’s violin, and a brass section that eventually kicks the door in to turn the track into a laid-back, friendly fanfare.

This is the first blood from The Other Half, dropping November 6th via EXAG’ Records and Howlin' Banana.

The story behind the record is simple. Last year, the band played a stripped-down, impromptu acoustic set at Balades Sonores in Paris right before releasing Half A Dozen. The vibe just clicked. Instead of letting it go, the six-piece ditched the monster fuzz pedals and heavy amps mid-tour. They grabbed folk guitars and horns, gutted the entire album, and rebuilt it from scratch.

The result is a raw, reimagined pop record. It proves their songwriting cuts deep, even without a wall of amps, while keeping the untamed energy they’ve had since day one.
